How to Choose Women's Perfume

The top note is the strongest scent and when sprayed, the smell typically fades within 15 minutes. The middle note, also known as the heart note, is the body of the perfume. This means that the smell stays prominent and bold for at least a few hours. Finally, the bottom note consists of those rich, heavy scents that linger for long periods of time. Generally, this scent can last until the end of the day.
3. Choose a Concentration
When you're shopping for a new fragrance you may notice a bunch of French words at the bottom of your bottle: eau de toilette, Eau de Parfum, Parfum, Eau Fraiche—the list goes on. You might have wondered what these mean. Well, colognes and perfumes consist of perfume essence (essential oils, extracts, etc.), alcohol and water. The difference between the types of fragrance depends on the concentration of perfume used in the scent. The names of each perfume type can give you clues to the concentration of perfume in the fragrance. Here's a quick way to distinguish the different kinds of perfume:
