Kids’ Sleeping Bags

No matter if your family loves to spend time camping in the Great Outdoors, or you’re just looking to provide your child with a comfortable sleeping setup for sleepovers or other overnight get-togethers, the selection of kids’ sleeping bags at Kohl’s has just what you need for your adventurous little ones!

Our sleeping bag assortment is sure to have just what your kiddos need to be comfortable in any situation, whether you’re staying outside in a tent, getting cuddled up on the floor in front of a TV for movie time, or packing up to spend the weekend and grandma and grandpa’s house!

Styles of Kids’ Sleeping Bags

Most kids’ sleeping bags feature fun graphics that showcase your child’s favorite characters from TV and movies. Disney characters feature prominently, with Elsa and Anna from ‘Frozen’ and Dory and Nemo from ‘Finding Nemo’ being just a couple of the available styles. And don’t forget to check out sleeping bags that feature Marvel superheroes like Spider-Man and The Avengers!

We also offer sleeping bags that come as part of a camping set for your child. These sets include all the items needed to help ensure your little one has a blast in the outdoors. Sets typically offer, along with the sleeping bag, a tent, a flashlight, a compass, and sling pack to carry all essentials.

Features of Sleeping Bags

If you’re looking to do some serious camping with your kids, you’ll need to take a look at certain elements that will be present when you’re out in the wild - most notable of these is the weather you’ll be experiencing.

Depending on the climate of your destination, the following factors are important to consider when purchasing a sleeping bag:

  • The temperature rating describes the coldest comfortable temperature your sleeping bag can handle. Usually, there is a minimum and a maximum degree for which the sleeping bag is recommended.
  • Insulation is measured by the fill weight in ounces. The higher the number, the warmer and more insulated your bag will be.
  • The length of the sleeping bag is important for taller individuals. Look for information about the height of a person that will comfortably fit within the sleeping bag.
  • The shape of the bag will most often be rectangular or mummy style. Rectangular bags are roomier, but can also add bulk to your travels. Mummy bags are tapered at the feet and often include a hood for more insulation.

Again, these factors will come into play when camping in the elements, so be sure to check your location’s weather forecast and climate before venturing out!

Sleeping bags might also feature the ability to fully unzip, allowing them to act more like a blanket, or even allow two bags to be zipped together to enhance the amount of space available between the bags - perfect if you have a couple youngsters in your family that you need to keep warm at night.
