The peacoat is a highly fashionable and atmospheric coat. It has a historic sense of regality and professionalism matched only by a proper suit jacket, even then the heft and quality of the peacoat is tough to match. While often hoodless, coats like this are structured to block wind and keep you toasty and looking your best.
How to Wear a Peacoat
Wearing a peacoat is relatively easy. They’re a heavier coat than you may be used to, but you can follow most coat guidelines. Make sure your peacoat doesn’t clash with your outfit (example: bright red pants don’t work too well with black). Peacoats can certainly be worn with casual outfits, but they shine when paired with business casual and professional outfits. Unlike trench coats, peacoats cut off a little below the belt, so play accordingly.

Bringing them out too early means you’ll likely be too warm in the fall, and wearing them with other winter gear may be troublesome.
